Learn more at www.sarasotabay.org. About Dr. Gandy: Dr. Gandy, a fifth-generation Floridian and longtime Sarasota County resident, holds a Ph.D. and M.S. in Mariculture from Texas A&M University. He spent 15 years with the Florida Fish and Wildlife Conservation Commission as a Research Scientist and Administrator. His background includes shellfish restoration, scientific program management, fisheries advising, and stakeholder engagement. At SBEP, he leads restoration and research efforts, ensures science-based practices, and connects with partners and the community.
