Boat diving is fun, often preferred by most divers and sometimes is the only way to get to a dive site. However, boats come in different sizes, shapes that may require different rules, procedures or etiquette.

If you have never dove from a boat or maybe are travelling to a new destination that uses a different boat than you've dove from before, here are some things to consider:

• Using surface line to initiate or conclude your dive
